News

Since the source code of the original editor is broken, I can no longer maintain and develop the Windows version. The version will remain here unchanged for download. But since I already switched to MacOS (Apple) some time ago (only in the studio not yet, but coming soon), there will be an Apple version for the Mac soon. Planned was also one for the iPad, but Apple wants €99 per year to put apps in the appstore, but that's a massive loss for me in the long run. I would otherwise have to take money for the app (around €20-25), in order not to pay over the years. As soon as you stop paying Apple, all the content in the Appstore is deleted and are no longer available for download. Therefore, there will be no iOS version for the time being, although it already exists and is almost ready.

Furthermore, I'm also working on a version that runs in the browser (Chrome only), but it has a few limitations, like no saving and loading of presets to disk and no support for sound files and (still) no support for the LMK3. Also missing is the language switching german/english and the dark mode. Some of this will probably be added later. The version is still in alpha stage. Please send me any bugs or suggestions for improvement.

LMK 3/4 Editor

The current Version is 1.3.2 Build 3053.

Download

This program is Freeware.

Please report alle errors directly to me and not to the company Doepfer. I have written the software with a lot of support from Doepfer, but Doepfer did not have the code to change anything.

Don't forget to save the presets in the EEprom. After transmitting the presets, the data is only saved in temporary memory. You can do so inside the program: Clock on the menu "presets" and then "Save presets in EEprom". This takes about 2 minutes. While saving the presets you cannot do anything with the LMK. Since version 1.3 this is done automatically for you after transmitting all presets to the LMK.

At this time it is not possible to save one preset into the EEprom. This feature is not implemented into the LMK. Maybe Doepfer will change this in the future.

This program was developed and tested under Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 7. I never tested it on any other windows OS.

Installation is simple. Download the program and decompress it into any directory you want and that's it. Start the program and don't forget to configure the correct Midi-ports und you can start.

Here are some sound-files. You can use them to make it a bit simpler to enter the program-change-commands inside the split-view.

There will be no further development and support for this program. But you are welcome to send me an email with suggestions.

You must copy these files into the same directory as the program itself. The sound-files will be found automatically from the programm, when it starts.

If you build one of your own, please send them to me via e-mail. I will put them on my website so that other LMK-users can use them too.

pocketFader/pocketControl for Sonar 2.x and newer

The current version is 1.0 Build 112

Download

With this DLL you can control the volume- and balance-faders inside of Sonar 2.x via the packetFader or packetControl of Doepfer

Please report alle errors directly to me and not to the company Doepfer. I have written the software with a lot of support from Doepfer, but Doepfer did not have the code to change anything.

This program is Freeware.

Installation is simple. Decompress the DLL into any directory you want. After that you must register the DLL so that Sonar can find the DLL. Open up a command-prompt and go into the directory where you put the DLL in. Type "regsvr32 pocketfader.dll" and that's it. Please close Sonar before you register the DLL. After registering the DLL you can use the control surface.

Go to the Options-Menu and click on control surface. Click on the little yellow star on the right side of the list. Now select "Doepfer pocketFader" in the first combobox and select the midi-ports. That's all.

Now you must configure the control surface. In the menu "Extras" you find the pocketFader now listed. Click on it and a dialogbox open up. Here you can configure the control surface.

  • Fader: Enter the number of the channel
  • Master-Fader: select this, when you want to control one of the master faders.
  • Type: choose if you want to control the volume or the balance-fader

Any change you do will be active immediatly.

Please set all dip-switches on the back of the pocketFader down (set to off)

There will be no further development and support for this program because I do not own Sonar anymore.
